Custom Hearing Aid Ear Moulds in Mumbai

Stop the whistling, slipping, and soreness. Our RCI-certified audiologists take precise 3D impressions of your ear to create custom-fitted ear moulds that lock in sound and guarantee all-day comfort. Available at our 10+ Mumbai clinics or right in your own home.

Why Settle for a “Standard” Fit?

When you first get hearing aids, they often come with standard rubber “domes.” While these work for some, every human ear canal is as unique as a fingerprint. If your hearing aids feel loose, hurt your ears after a few hours, or constantly make a high-pitched whistling sound (feedback), a standard dome isn’t enough. A custom ear mould is crafted exactly to the contours of your ear. This creates a perfect acoustic seal, preventing sound from leaking out, maximizing the performance of your hearing aids, and ensuring they stay securely in place no matter how active you are.

Who Benefits Most from Custom Ear Moulds?

While anyone can upgrade to a custom mould for better comfort, they are medically highly recommended for:

Severe to Profound Hearing Loss

High-power hearing aids require a tight seal to deliver maximum volume without causing feedback (whistling).

Growing Children

Kids’ ears grow incredibly fast. Custom moulds ensure their pediatric hearing aids stay securely attached during playtime and provide the exact acoustic amplification needed for language development.

Active Lifestyles & Unique Ear Shapes

If you have narrow, sharp, or surgically altered ear canals, or if you lead an active lifestyle where devices tend to slip out, a custom mould is the perfect solution.

Ear Impressions Taken in Your Living Room

Need a new mould but don’t want to navigate Mumbai traffic? Crystal Hearing Solutions offers specialized At-Home Impression Services. Our RCI-certified traveling audiologists will visit your home with clinical-grade impression materials. We safely and gently take a mold of your ear canal in just a few minutes right in your living room. We then send the impression to our advanced manufacturing lab and deliver the finished, custom-crafted mould directly back to you.

How We Craft Your Perfect Fit

Step 1: Ear Canal Inspection

We use a specialized light (otoscope) to ensure your ear canal is healthy and free of heavy wax before starting.

Step 2: The Impression

We place a small, soft foam block inside the ear to protect the eardrum, then gently fill the canal with a medical-grade silicone impression material. It sets comfortably in about 3 minutes.

Step 3: 3D Manufacturing

The impression is sent to our lab, where it is 3D scanned and precisely crafted using hypoallergenic silicone or acrylic.

Step 4: The Final Fitting

Once ready, we attach the new mould to your Signia, Phonak, ReSound, or Widex hearing aids and ensure the fit and sound are absolutely perfect.

Upgrade Your Comfort and Sound Quality

Don’t let poorly fitting hearing aids ruin your day. Let our RCI-certified experts craft a custom mould that feels like it isn’t even there.

Does taking an ear impression hurt?

Not at all! The process is completely painless and perfectly safe. The silicone material simply feels a little cool and creates a temporary sensation of fullness in your ear for about 3 minutes while it sets.

How often do children need new ear moulds?

Because children grow rapidly, their ear canals change shape. Infants and toddlers may need new moulds every 3 to 6 months, while older children might only need them once a year to maintain a proper acoustic seal.

Can I choose the color or material?

Yes! We offer both soft (silicone) and hard (acrylic) materials based on your hearing loss needs. We also offer a wide variety of colors, from discreet transparent and skin-tones to bright, fun colors and glitter options that kids love!

How long does it take to get the final custom mould?

Once we take the physical impression of your ear, it usually takes about 5 to 7 working days for our advanced labs to custom-manufacture the mould and return it to the clinic for your fitting.
